I need calmness .

Mentally exhausted .

BUT...........

Even though the world has its problems, the sun still rises in the sky each morning, and we're awake and alive when we get out of bed.

The dry season in life do not last , rain will definitely fall.

Im grateful .

I am so glad that I attended the Talk by bro Idris Tawfiq last nite.

He was so full of sincererity when he delivered his speech.

He added humors , so it was serious but relax at the same time.

He "made" Islam so simple and answered those questions very aptly.

Islam is Simple !

Quoted :

" Islam is perfect,perfect,perfect.......... but not the Muslims."

Thursday, January 14, 2010

FaithHub brochures all stacked up.

Somebody has to do the job.

All the other members have their own tasks/duties to perform.

We're almost all geared up for this coming Saturday.

FaithHub will be organising a Talk in English at the Sultan Mosque Auditorium.
This Saturday , 16th January 10, 2pm-5pm.
Free Admission.

Talk by Ustz Haron Akhtar, will be touching on "Islam being the most misunderstood religion and what we can do to rectify this situation."

This is indeed timely as we struggle with all the questioning from our non muslim friends around what our religion has to say about the world events that are unfolding everyday. We are being bombarded with articles in the newspapers stereotyping Muslims to the world. What should our response be and what should our next steps be? .

The second Ustaz is not a stranger. He is none other than Ustaz Mokhtar Stork. An Australian convert and the author of the celebrated book A-Z Guide to the Quran published by Times Publishing. It will indeed be an inspiring talk on the "Need to redefine Islamic education."

The current education is not wholesome and he will share why it is not so and what needs to happen to make it wholesome. We have a great role to play in this space as well and come find out what we need to do individually and collectively as an Ummah.

Come join us !

Why do good intentions go terribly wrong sometimes.?

So, every now and then things can just go wrong.
It didnt turn out to be what it suppose to be.
Life is full of unexpected moments.

I think i can handle this.
Emotionally or not.
It can be quite challenging.
But what is life w/o challenges.

Im upset , because i care.
If i didnt care,i wont be upset in the first place.

So far, so good and im so in love with my mornings.

After the kids and hubby has gone to school and to work,
the morning is just for me and myself alone.

Some days, i have my classes to attend.
I have piles of housework that needs to be done..
But then, i realised, i began to make time for dhuha prayers and also
able to read few pages of the Quran.
Peacefully.

I felt so relieved n calming after that, and the housechores continued.

This isnt my goal, plan or anything, but i thot this is simple and yet meaningful duties that i have to keep. Insya allah.

I was thinking of doing brisk walking in the evening y'day, when the kids go for thier tuition class. I was almost ready with my track suits and shoes, when it started to drizzle. So my spirit was somewat dampened.
I thot this morning, i could do it , but i was too lazy.
I landed my butt here, and typing these.
Anyhoot, reminder to myself, it starts and ends in the mind. :P

Alrite, i have to take one little step at a time,in order to make changes.
If im gonna take 50 changes in a short period of time, i shall not be able to make it. Ive to pace myself.

Im just sharing here..nothing of other sort.
Im trying to look at the bright side of things and if i dont succeed,i have to
reasses myself.

Changes do take time ! :)

My good friend, Syl and her family went back to her hometown in Jakarta ,during the
school holiday last December. It's to celebrate Idul Adha to be exact.

They stayed at Syl's aunt's house and so much of siratulrahim were build during their stay .

About a week later, Syl ,who was already back here in Singapore received a shocking news. Her aunt's son, a young guy, aged abt 30yo, suddenly collapsed and had to be rushed to hospital. They found out that he had leukemia! To make the matter worse, the young guy's mom..that is Syl's aunt, is actually a doctor herself and she knew nothing abt her son's condition.

The son's condition began to deteriorate and had to be put on a support system. When things like this happend, the family members would be in dilemma. To plug or to unplugged.

Days went by and the young guy time was up...he has to meet his Creator.
His wealth, his family, his friends ...... everything, was left behind.

Innalillahiwainnaillahirajion.

Some people (like my sis in law) taught that death is the most depressing topic to talk abt...but i beg to differ. These are but signs that remind us that it can happen to anyone at anytime and with that we should thank Allah s.w.t. for giving us another day / year in our lives.

I havent write anything here yet..since 2010 !

It's the 5th day of January already.

So many incident happend the past weeks/days, some are just the norm, some were simply bizarre.

An update on my hubby's grandma...she's still "surviving" her very critical-in- danger-zone condition. Some people in the family predicted she'll "go" before the New year comes..but nooooo , an ambulance took her on X'mas day and till date, she's lying at the hospital bed.

On the night of the New Year , my mom in law and younger SiL , met an accident..on their way home from the hospital. My MiL suffered from shocked and chestpain due to the impact and my younger SiL had minor bruises on her arms. Fortunately, nothing really serious happened to them. However, the car booth/rear was badly dented...

Few other things has been happening , but i shall write abt it the next time.
